About

I began my journey into yoga the day my son was born and placed on my chest. The moment he looked into my eyes I had an awakening of a peace and tranquility that always lived inside me that I was never aware of until that moment. I embarked on a journey from that moment on to seek out ways to keep this peace alive and awake inside me.

In my search I studied and practiced Japa Meditation where I was able to create a quiet space inside me as well as a hunger for more of this serenity in my everyday life. This search for peace is what drew me to yoga and peace is what I have found.

The path to Yoga is often begun from the outside in but for me it began on the inside and worked its way out to the physical practice of asanas. I have such a fervent desire to share the benefits that Yoga has brought with any who care to learn.

I received my Hatha Yoga Certification in April, 2008 through the Yoga Shakti Teacher certification program and studied for over 200 hours directly with Diana Pipaloff .

In addition to practicing yoga for over 7 years, I hold a degree in Psychology and have been a behavior therapist for children with pervasive developmental disorders for the past 10 years.  I teach yoga to children in public schools throughout Southern California.
